One art affaire

After hearing about Stephen Hawking's passing away I decided to take about him in my Art class with students of 10 year olds. We watched a film about his biograghy. He was a scientist who studied black holes & outer space. We also talked about a book he wrote A Brief History of Time.  Stunning work we all enjoyed spluttering paint ( Jackson Pollack style) but using old tooth bushes:)

                                       Exaggerated, symbolism, imagery, fantasy, inspiration,   By using mixed-media my primary class 8 years old   were asked to -    1.cut out pitcure from magazines  2.paint the back grounds  3. paint birch trunks with  dragging cardboard technique         lesson plan took two sessions. So happy with the result WOW

What a beautiful village of only 900 residence in Brittany, France's northwestermost region,is a hilly peninsula extending out toward the Atlantic Ocean. Came across this wonderful place in visiting a couple of friend from Australia Orange Jane & Gra, both retired  and have a nice little french home in Gourec. Water coloured painting of the house from me ;) An amazing thing is my daughter-in-law Dad was born in this village!!!!  WHAT A SMALL WORLD

The water lily pond   What a challenge with my students in my French Primary School,       15 Children aged 9 involved with these mosaic collage had to choose between two famous Artists: 1.Starry night painted by Van Gogh in 1889 in  Saint-Rémy-de-Provence France 2.
